How to Zip a File
In order to use TE Recruit's bulk resume upload feature, you’ll need to compress your resume files into a single zipped folder. A zipped folder compresses the information in the resumes so that it’s easier to transport via the internet.
A few things to keep in mind before zipping the file:
- Make sure all the resumes you want to import are located within one single folder
- You may have sub-folders within that single folder
- Remove any files that are not resumes (ex – cover letters, images, references, etc.)
- Make sure the folder is saved to your hard drive
To zip a folder in Windows:
- Locate the corresponding folder
- Right-click on the folder and select the Compress To option
- Click on ZIP File
To zip a folder on a Mac:
- Locate the corresponding folder
- Right-click on the folder and select Compress [Folder Name]
