Setting Up a Dedicated Texting Number

Top Echelon Recruiting Software’s text messaging service allows you to subscribe to a dedicated phone number (or multiple) to send text messages to candidates and/or contacts through the software. The outgoing messages are logged as Activities to the corresponding record, and when your dedicated number receives any reply texts, the incoming message will be logged to Top Echelon Recruiting Software as well.

The first step in setting up your text messaging subscription is to sign up for a dedicated phone number. Please note that the ability to manage text messaging is restricted to only those users who have permission to Manage Text Messaging.

Text Message Allowance

Each new number has an associated recurring monthly charge and comes with 250 outgoing text messages per month. Incoming text messages do not count against your monthly allowance

Adding a dedicated number

  • Expand the Sidebar in the top right corner of the software and click on the Settings icon
  • Click to expand the Addons & Integrations section and then select Text Messaging
  • From the Manage Text Messaging page, click the Add Number button

  • Select the User that you’d like the new number to be associated to
  • Enter the Area Code that you’d like the new number to have
  • Click the Save button when complete

  • In the Confirm Purchase window, check the box to agree to the monthly payment terms and then click the Subscribe button
    • Please note that the credit card on file will be charged at the time the Confirm button is clicked and will continue to show on your monthly invoice moving forward (unless the number is canceled at any time)

  • Once the purchase is confirmed, your new number will be displayed on the Manage Text Messaging page along with the associated user and number of messages used for that current month

  • If you’d like to add additional numbers to your account, continue to follow the same steps by clicking the Add Number button again
  • Once your number has been established, you can begin sending and receiving text messages
