(BETA) Connecting to Indeed

If you’re interested in Beta testing this new feature, email us at beta@topechelon.com

Overview:

TE Recruit can help you connect your Jobs with an existing Indeed account. Once your Jobs are available in your Indeed account, you will manage publishing and sponsorship directly on Indeed. Jobs that are successfully published will deliver candidates directly into your job’s Pipeline via IndeedApply.

Setting up this connection is a 3 step process:

  1. Create your Indeed XML Feed
  2. Send the feed URL to your Indeed representative by email OR web form
  3. Manage and sponsor/publish jobs (from within your Indeed account)

Your jobs will NOT be published on Indeed until ALL of these steps are completed - please find more detailed instructions, below.

Good to know:

  • Users must have proper User Permissions to set up the Indeed feed, and to publish jobs to your Job Board/Careers Page/Indeed feed
  • Once connected, ALL open jobs published to your Job Board/Careers Page will be connected to your Indeed account automatically - this is a requirement from Indeed for all XML feeds
    • For 3rd party recruiters: your jobs are not eligible for visibility on Indeed without sponsorship, so only jobs that you sponsor on Indeed will be visible to applicants
    • For direct employers: all of the jobs in your feed may be published on Indeed, regardless of sponsorship, so be mindful that any/all jobs published on your Job Board/Careers Page may also be published automatically on Indeed

Connecting TE Recruit to your Indeed account:

  1. Navigate to Settings (via either the Sidebar or the Settings icon in the upper right navigation), then find Addons & Integrations > Manage Job Posting

  2. In the Indeed section, fill in the email address you use to log in to your company’s Indeed account and click the Confirm button

  3. Check the connected email inbox for a confirmation email, and click the Confirm Indeed Integration link

  4. If the setup is successful, you'll receive a Notification, and you can proceed to Step 5

    • If any of your jobs do not meet Indeed's Job Posting Standards, this process will fail. If the process fails, the Error Log on the Manage Job Posting page will show which jobs failed and why, so you can make corrections before retrying

    • After correcting all issues from the Error Log, click Retry Initial Posting and the system will try again
  5. Once this process has completed successfully, a link to the Indeed External XML feed of your jobs will appear on the Manage Job Postings page

  6. Click the Copy to clipboard button and send it to Indeed - you can either:
    • Paste it into an email to your Indeed Representative stating: Please use this XML feed to ingest our jobs into our account: [ paste the XML feed URL ]

      OR

    • Use this Indeed Employer Support contact form
      • If needed, your Indeed rep may ask additional questions - follow up with them as needed
  7. Once your Indeed rep adds the XML feed to your account, all jobs published on your Job Board/Careers Page/Indeed in TE Recruit will appear in the XML file automatically and should appear in your Indeed account's Jobs > All Jobs tab within 24 hours, but this does not mean your jobs are live/published on Indeed
    • For 3rd party recruiters/agencies: your jobs will not be published until you sponsor them/add them to an advertising campaign within your Indeed account
    • For direct employers: you may be entitled to free job publishing/visibility on Indeed
      • Check with your Indeed representative for more information, and feel free to copy support@topechelon.com into your correspondence with them if needed
  8. For the best information on whether your connected jobs are published/visible, log into your Indeed Employer account and find the Jobs > All Jobs section
  9. When applicants apply to your published jobs on Indeed, our IndeedApply integration will deliver them directly into your Job’s Pipeline to be reviewed and managed from within the TE Recruit
