Spark Hire
Spark Hire's video interviewing platform allows you to schedule both One Way pre-recorded interviews and Live video interviews. Our integration with Spark Hire enables users to schedule Live interviews as well as select structured interview questions for One Way interviews that job applicants respond to asynchronously. This process empowers hiring and staffing teams to interview candidates more efficiently.
Connecting to Spark Hire
Note: Each user will need to connect their own Spark Hire user account to their Top Echelon user account. Users will not be able to see the Spark Hire cards or icons within records until these accounts are connected.
- Log in at SparkHire.com
- Go to your User Menu → Settings → Integrations
- Scroll to locate Top Echelon and click Activate Integration
- Copy the generated API key
- In Top Echelon, expand the Sidebar in the top right corner of the software and click on the Settings gear icon
- Click to expand the Addons & Integrations section and then select Spark Hire
- Paste the Spark Hire API key into the field
- Click Save
Adding a Job to Spark Hire
In order to Invite candidates to an interview, you'll first need to send a Job Order to Spark Hire.
- Open a Job and locate the Spark Hire card
- If the job has not yet been sent to Spark Hire, click the Send to Spark Hire button
- If the job has already been sent, click the View in Spark Hire link to see more information
Inviting Candidates to Interviews
You can invite a candidate to a Spark Hire interview either via their Person record or from a Pipeline of a connected Job.
Inviting from a Person Record
- Go to a candidate who is already in the Pipeline of a Spark Hire-connected job
- Within the Spark Hire card, click the Schedule an Interview button
Inviting from a Pipeline
When connected to Spark Hire, an icon is added to the Actions column within a Job's Pipeline. An Interview Status column is also added.
- Click the Spark Hire icon in the Actions column
If an interview already exists for a candidate in this Pipeline, you'll see this displayed in the Interview Status column.
Scheduling an Interview
- Select the relevant Job Order and Interviewee
- If a candidate is invited via a Pipeline, these fields will be prefilled
- Select the Interview Type
- One Way interviews take place asynchronously - a candidate will submit a video of their answers to a pre-set list of questions (this is the default option)
- Live interviews happen in real time - the interviewer and candidate meet directly via video call
- Set the Due Date and Time
- Select a Question Set if scheduling a One Way interview (this field will be disabled for Live interviews)
- You also have the option to add a message or any additional information to the invite that will be included in the message sent to the candidate from Spark Hire
- Click Schedule Interview to finalize and send the invitation
