Managing Records in a Sequence

This feature is only available on the Professional Tier

Once records are enrolled in a Sequence, you can monitor their progress and take action as needed. Whether stopping outreach for specific records, removing a record from the Sequence entirely, or retrying a failed step, managing enrolled records gives you control over individual outreach without affecting the Sequence itself.

Each enrolled record will display one of the following statuses:

  • In Progress - The record is actively moving through the Sequence steps
  • Failed (Error) - An error occurred while executing a step. To view the details of the error, hover your cursor over the status
  • Stopped - The record was manually stopped before completing all steps in the Sequence
  • Completed - All configured steps in the Sequence were successfully completed

Record enrollment can be managed from the Sequence itself or from the Sequences card on a Person or Company Datasheet. The following actions are available:

  • Stop Future Steps - Prevents the record from continuing through the Sequence. No additional steps will run, but the Sequence will remain visible on the record’s Datasheet. Activities created by previous steps will remain related to the record.
  • Remove from Sequence - Stops the record from continuing through the Sequence and removes the Sequence from the record’s Datasheet. Activities created by previous steps will remain related to the record.
  • Retry Failed Steps - Reattempts a step that failed due to an error. This option is available when a specific step did not complete successfully.


To manage record enrollment from a Sequence:

  • Navigate to the corresponding Sequence
  • Check the boxes to the left of the records you wish to take an action on

  • Click to expand the Action menu at the top of the list and select the action you would like to take on the selected records

  • Click the Confirm button to save your changes
    • Note: If you choose to stop or remove at least one record from the Sequence, you’ll be prompted to confirm your selection. Confirming the action will delete any open Activities that were created by the sequence and associated with the selected records.


To manage record enrollment from the record's Datasheet:

  • Navigate to the record's Datasheet and locate the Sequences card
  • Select the vertical ellipsis (⋮) next to the Sequence you want to manage

  • Choose an action from the menu
  • Click the Confirm button to save your changes
    • Note: If you choose to stop or remove the record from a Sequence, you’ll be prompted to confirm your selection. Confirming the action will delete any open Activities that were created by the sequence and associated with the selected record.
