Job Advertising Overview

As a TE Recruit or TE Network customer, you'll have access to a growing variety of advertising options to get your Jobs posted online. This overview article will outline the various venues you can advertise to, as well as where to go within TE Recruit to advertise your Jobs.

Advertising Venues

Venues you can advertise your positions to via TE Recruit Job Posting and TE Network are separated into three categories:

1. TE Recruit Job Advertising
   • TE Recruit Job Board, Careers Page, and Social Media Sharing
     • These options are only available to TE Recruit subscribers
     • These services are included with TE Recruit and allow you to post Jobs to your website after setup
       • Once you advertise a Job to the Job Board/Careers Page, you can then share it via social media status updates on LinkedIn, Facebook, and X (formerly known as Twitter) to help drive traffic back to your site
   • Top Echelon Network and the TE Network Jobs Feed
     • These options are only available to TE Network members
     • This service allows TE Network members to share their Jobs with other Network members in the hope of making a split placement with another firm
     • Once shared to TE Network, you can also choose to share the job to other members’ websites via the TE Network Jobs Feed option
2. Paid Job Boards
   • These are fee-based third-party advertising services
   • TE Recruit Job Posting Tool
     • This option is available to both TE Recruit customers and TE Network members
     • This service allows you to post your Jobs on various third-party websites through cost-per-click advertising manage by Top Echelon
     • This is a low cost alternative to direct postings on third-party websites, and also has subscription pricing available
3. Free Job Boards

• These are third-party advertising services that require no additional cost
• Free Job Boards
  • This service allows you to easily send a job to all of Top Echelon's free job board partners with a single click
  • Applicants who apply via these job boards will be automatically added to the corresponding Job’s Pipeline within TE Recruit
• Monster Organic Posting
  • This service is available to both TE Recruit and TE Network customers
  • This service allows you to post Jobs to Monster’s Organic Posting feed
  • Note: it is recommended that you do not use this service if already posting to Monster via one of their paid options (this includes TE Recruit Job Posting mentioned above)

How to Advertise Jobs

You can advertise your Jobs from three different areas within TE Recruit and TE Network:

1. From the Job Add screen
   • Select the Add a Job option from the + icon in the top right corner of the Main Navigation Bar
   • On the Add a Job page, look for the Advertising card in the bottom right corner of the page
     • Click on a venue to learn more about the requirements and displayed fields for that corresponding option
     • Check the box to the left of any venue to post there upon saving the Job
       • Required fields for that venue will display a red asterisk to the right
       • Eye icons will display to the left of any fields that can be viewed by jobseekers
         • Hover your cursor over the eye to see the icons of which venues will display that field
         • Venues displayed in the Recruiters section can be viewed by other TE Network members
         • Venues displayed in the Applicants section can be viewed by potential candidates thorough the indicated venue
       • When ready, click the Save button in the bottom right corner to both create the new Job and post to any selected venues
2. From the Advertise card or pane on the Job Datasheet
   • Navigate to the corresponding Job's Datasheet (this is the default view when selecting a record)
   • Look for the Advertise card on the Datasheet, or the Advertise pane in the Right Side Panel
   • Available venues will be displayed, along with a posting status
     • A status of Missing Criteria indicates that a requirement is be missing, such as a required field or prerequisite venue
   • When ready, click the Post or Share buttons to the right to advertise the Job on the corresponding venue
   • To remove a posting, use the red Remove icon to the right of a venue, or use the Remove All icon in the upper right corner of the Advertise card/pane to remove the posting from all venues at once
3. From the Advertising column on the Jobs Dashboard
   • Navigate to Jobs in the Main Navigation Bar to view the Jobs Dashboard
   • Make sure you're viewing the Open Jobs  vie by clicking the corresponding view below the search bar (this is the default view)
   • On the right side of the Open Jobs table, locate the Advertising column
     • This column will display the icons of any venues that a given Job has already been advertised to
     • If the Job is not currently advertised, a Post to... option will appear instead
   • To advertise a Job to a new venue, click the grey ... button
   • A Job Advertising Options window will open for that specific position
     • Available venues will be displayed, along with the corresponding posting status
       • A status of Missing Criteria indicates that a requirement is be missing, such as a required field or prerequisite venue
       • When ready, click on the Post or Share buttons on the right to advertise the Job on the respective venue
   • To remove a posting, use the red Remove icon to the right of a venue, or use the Remove All icon in the upper right corner of the window to remove the posting from all venues at once
   • Click the Close button in the bottom right corner, or X in the top right, when complete
