Activities
In this article, we’ll review creating and managing Activities within TE Recruit. Activities can be created for anything you do to run your desk, and can be attached to People, Company, or Job records. They’ll help you keep track of your daily notes, conversations, and events.
Activities can be logged to document completed actions such as phone conversations, emails, etc. They can also be used to schedule follow-ups or reminders for future dates/times as well. All of your scheduled and completed activities will flow to your Planner, where they can be managed day-to-day.
From within TE Recruit, there are two main ways to create Activities:
- From an individual record (Person, Company, or Job)
- From a list of multiple records
To log or schedule activities from an individual record:
- Navigate to the Person, Company, or Job’s Datasheet for which you wish to create the Activity
- Locate the Open Activities and Completed Activities cards
- Open Activities = any Activity associated with this record that has not yet been completed
- Completed Activities = any Activity associated with this record that has already been completed
- Each card will have an associated icon in the top right corner
- The Completed Activities card has a Log icon which allows you to log Activities as completed
- Note: this icon will appear in other places within the software such as Pipelines, the Planner, and your Daily Agenda in the Sidebar
- Clicking the Log icon will open the Add Completed Activity window which allows you to select the appropriate Activity Type, enter corresponding details, and relate any necessary records
- Click the Log button when complete
- The Log & Add Follow-up button allows you to log this Activity as completed and also schedule a follow-up without leaving the Activity window
- This Activity will now show in the Completed Activities card of all related records and in the Planner
- The Completed Activities card has a Log icon which allows you to log Activities as completed
- The Open Activities card has a Schedule icon which allows you to schedule Activities out for future dates and times
- Note: this icon will appear in other places within the software such as Pipelines, the Planner, and your Daily Agenda in the Sidebar
- Clicking the Schedule icon will open the Add Scheduled Activity window which allows you to select the appropriate Activity Type, enter corresponding details, relate any necessary records and assign a future date and time
- Click the Schedule button when complete
- This Activity will now show in the Open Activities card of all related records and in the Planner
To log or schedule Activities from a list of multiple records:
- Navigate to a list of search results, a Hotlist, or a Pipeline
- Select the check boxes to the left of the corresponding records and then click to expand the Action menu at the top of the list
- Choose either Log Activities or Schedule Activities
- Enter all corresponding details when the Activity window opens
- You will see the count in the top left corner
- Click the corresponding Log or Schedule button at the bottom when complete
- When logging or scheduling an Activity to a list of multiple records, an individual Activity will be logged for each related record on their corresponding Datasheet and within the Planner
