(BETA) Inbound Email Sync

This feature is only available on the Professional Tier

With Inbound Email Sync, you can connect your Microsoft or Google Workspace account to automatically log incoming emails in TE Recruit. This keeps your communication history up to date without the need for manual logging or forwarding messages to the log address.

Synced emails are automatically logged as Completed Activities in TE Recruit. You can view them on the related record’s Activity card, within the Activities tab and on the Datasheet, as well as in the Timeline. They are also included in the Planner and Activity Reports for complete visibility and tracking.

Note: Google Workspace / Microsoft administrators may need to authorize TE Recruit as a trusted app in order for other members of the organization to take advantage of inbound email sync


To connect your email account and enable inbound syncing:

  • Expand the Sidebar in the top right corner of the page and click on the Settings icon 
  • Click to expand the Addons & Integrations section and then select Inbound Email Sync

  • Click the Add an Account button
    • TE Recruit uses Nylas, a secure integration platform, to sync your email client

  • A new window will open where you can choose to Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft
  • Select the email client you’d like to integrate with to proceed through the corresponding authorization flow

  • Review and accept the corresponding terms to complete integration
  • Once you've approved and completed the integration steps, you'll see an Active status displayed on the Inbound Email Sync page and all new incoming emails will be logged back to TE Recruit as Completed Activities


To disconnect your email account and disable inbound email syncing:

  • Expand the Sidebar in the top right corner of the page and click on the Settings icon 
  • Click to expand the Addons & Integrations section and then select Inbound Email Sync

  • Click the Disconnect button to the right of the currently synced email address
  • When prompted, confirm that you want to Disconnect your account
    • This process may take several minutes and will stop all future logging of incoming emails to TE Recruit
    • Any existing Activities logged through this email sync will remain in TE Recruit
    • You will not be able to connect another account until this process is completed
